Dual Language Academy

The Dual Language Program seeks to develop bi-literate students that are college ready by offering rigorous college prep courses in English and Spanish.

The Dual Language Program course sequence consists of two years of instruction in Spanish in core content areas. Bi-literacy allows students to transfer high levels of language and cognitive skills, which in turn leads to a much stronger ability to gather and use information.

Students in the Dual Language Program also participate in a variety of extracurricular activities and community service organized by the Dual Language Parent Group or Dual Language Student Club. These activities include participating in multicultural fairs, ORH DL Awards Assembly, Club fundraisers, and the annual Senior Recognition Celebration for our program graduates.

Students who successfully complete the course requirements of the Dual Language Program with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA are eligible to receive the Bi-literacy Diploma from the State of California.
